KHEMIX 185 D-FLOCK is a free-flowing, dustless material designed for use in water curtain paint spray booths as an inhibitor and paint digester.

KHEMIX 185 D-FLOCK is not only safe for use on all metals of construction, but is an effective corrosion inhibitor, preventing water corrosion of these metals.

KHEMIX 185 D-FLOCK is a mildly alkaline material that is completely and easily soluble in water.

KHEMIX 185 D-FLOCK is a homogenous mixture that shows no tendency to layer, cake or pack in the containers. It may be stored indefinitely.

Suggested Uses:

KHEMIX 185 D-FLOCK is used as a water additive in any water curtain type spray booth. An additive for this type of operation should serve a dual purpose. It should first be a corrosion inhibitor, preventing water attack on the metals of construction throughout the system. It should also prevent clogging of the water and drain lines in the system by effective deflocculation of the paint.

KHEMIX 185 D-FLOCK will act as a digester on part of the paint solids, dissolving the resins and allowing the heavier pigments to sink in the tank. The digested resinous materials will then float as non-tacky, dry agglomerated mass on the top of the water where they will readily be skimmed off. When used as directed, KHEMIX 185 D-FLOCK will not allow paint to form a gummy mass that will foul the skimmers, walls and fans of the booth. It will also aid in producing a uniform, continuous water curtain with no breaks.

METHODS OF MIX & APPLICATION

KHEMIX 185 D-FLOCK should be added a ratio of 100 parts water to 1 part of KHEMIX 185 D-FLOCK .

Special Note!!

When metal pigmented paints are used, the first addition of KHEMIX 185 D-FLOCK may cause foam. This foam will quickly subside. To obtain any degree of efficiency in this type of operation, it is important to keep the chemical concentration constant at all times. This is most ideally done with automatic feed and proportioning equipment.
